Process Engineer Director (Req# B1669)
Manage exceptionally complex, practical applications of scientific theory and processes in the development and ongoing technical management of the division. Interact and offer solutions to address external customers High Value Problems (HVP) on exceptionally complex process issues involving the division/segment.
Lead strategic planning efforts to integrate research and development processes with both the unit and the Product Business Group's overall business plan. Provide approval guidelines and leadership to reporting process technology managers in the area of long-term strategy related to process development.
Define performance metrics and reports on organization's progress against specific goals. Responsible for alpha engineering program regarding all process technology related issues for the division/segment. Responsible for alpha and beta product release for the division/segment.
Originate, develop and execute the most complex technical projects and influences future technology and product strategy. Prioritize technology programs and projects which may include more than one technology field. Within safety guidelines originate, design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on unusually complex engineering experiments and provides solutions which are highly disruptive and ingenious.
Develop innovative solutions as part of substantial track record of significant technology contributions. Conceive and implement new technology.
Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following:
EllipsometryAtomic layer etching
Characterization equipment: SEM, EDAX, TEM, XPS, ICMS, FTIR, optical spectroscopy
Knowledge of precursors, ability to predict reaction, kinetics, by-products of the reaction, and knowledge to change ligand in the precursorCoatings to manipulate absorption and desorption of reactants to minimize CVD component in ALD reaction (hydrophobic, hydrophilic)
Experience with multi-variant, single variable Design of experiments, predictive models and translating the trends into desired hardware improvements in ALD/CVD reactors
DFT modelling, and use simulation data for fluid flows and thermal mapping in the reactor to improve thickness non-uniformity, step coverage, defect reduction, metal contamination reduction

Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign degree equivalent in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field and 10 years of experience as Process Engineer Director or related occupation.
Alternatively, a Doctorate degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field and 5 years of experience as Process Engineer Director or related occupation.
Salary: $179,171 to $232,922 per year
