System Administrator

This role involves remote work and travel to client sites across the Bay Area, requiring a candidate with both technical expertise and a customer-focused mindset.
As a System Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining IT operations, resolving system challenges, and supporting hybrid environments. We’re seeking a proactive, solutions-driven professional comfortable working both independently and with teams in varied environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain O365 systems, including user account administration, email setup, and cloud migrations.
- Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory (on-premise and Azure AD).
- Provide networking support, resolving connectivity challenges to ensure smooth operations.
- Leverage Hyper-V for virtualization and resource optimization.
- Support hybrid Windows Server environments, maintaining performance and security.
- Provide onsite support for clients at locations across the Bay Area as needed.
- Mac familiarity is a plus: Address technical issues for users operating in diverse platforms.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support or as a system administrator.
- Extensive experience with O365 Administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Expertise in Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD) configuration and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
- Experience working with Hyper-V or a similar virtualization platform (e.g., VMware).
- Proficient in managing Windows Server environments, including backups, patches, and migrations.
- Mac expertise is a strong plus, with the ability to support macOS users in integrated environments.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel locally (within the Bay Area) for client support.
