Job Description:
H-E-B Supply Chain Partners innovate and execute processes to optimize source-to-shelf operations, managing $800 million in Distribution Center inventory, 11.9 million square feet in warehousing, and the 91.8% of our Store-sold items that move through our supply chain.
As a Central Market Inventory Analyst I, you'll ensure assigned vendor / SKU monitoring to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and meet sales, turn, and inventory and service level objectives.

What is the work?
Inventory Management / Analytics:- Independently manages a moderately complex category or group of categories with limited supervision
- Builds on product knowledge on items being supported and understanding of Merchant role
- Teams with Merchants and business planners to help maximize sales, service levels, inventory, and turn objectives
- Monitors event sales with business planners to determine actions to optimize sales and turn while reducing overstocks
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels to support ad campaigns and seasonal promotions
- Communicates warehouse / vendor product issues through impacted teams (e.g., Warehouse, Transportation, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Shelf Edge, Retail)
- Tracks / expedites / maintains open inventory requests (purchase orders / Store Replenishment System)
- Addresses inventory residuals determined by Merchants, business planners, and business rules
- Identifies / analyzes / addresses or escalates vendor performance issues
- Teams with Merchants, business planners to identify appropriate historical information and necessary inventory levels by assigned location
- Builds on / maintains positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to facilitate timely, accurate inventory delivery
- Analyzes root causes of issues affecting service and inventory; works with business partners to resolve
- Updates / improves forecasting using exception management tools, all available systems, information, and reporting
- Investigates SRS issues and resolves with SIMS, BDM, BDA teams
- Collects, analyzes, and recaps DSD supplier inventory levels and OOS issues
- This is a work from office position with flexible WFO options as needed
- Facilities store EOM surveys, recaps, and provides recaps to suppliers and BDM’s
- Requires interaction and communication with store leadership teams- GM’s, Directors, Managers
- Manages tools and reports for OOS at the short level- including use of PSA, UOH and SRS data
- Collaborates with appropriate groups to successfully execute various product transitions (e.g., new items, discontinued items, item distribution, category refreshes, seasonal purchases)
- Executes new vendor set up in appropriate H-E-B systems
- Executes timely placement of inventory requests (purchase orders, Store Replenishment System)
- Tracks / expedites inventory movement to meet stated timelines and achieve service and inventory level goals
- Identifies / resolves simple issues; escalates as needed
- Follows up on product transition / addition information received
- Investigates and resolves DSD and HEB WH OOS issues and communicate solutions to BDM’s and store teams
- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
- 2+ years of experience related to Forecast & Replenishment or Supply Chain
- 2+ years of experience in analytics
- Working understanding of inventory management and analysis systems
- Strong information gathering skills
- Strong organization skills; attention to detail

- Intermediate verbal / written communication skills
- Strong MS Office, H-E-B systems (OMI, BI, JDA, XNET, DSD, CMIS, sign / tags) skills

- Function in a fast paced, retail, office environment
- Periodic travel by car or plane with overnight stays
- Work extended hours and a rotating on-call schedule; sit for extended periods
