Our prestigious client is looking for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Waycross, GA 31502

Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Memorial Satilla Health, Waycross, GA

Shift: Full-time Nights (rotating weekends)

Department Summary:

• 22 total beds; 16-bed Emergency & 6-bed low acuity area
• Telestroke
• Collaborates with units within the facility including interventional Cath Lab, OR, Critical Care, 4 Med/Surg units, Laboratory as well as coordination and collaboration to outside facilities.
• Busy ER with 50,000 visits annually

Position Summary:

• This position works full time; 3 (12) hour shifts per week 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Assessment and care of a variety of trauma, illnesses, injury and non-emergent care with decisive action
• Works well under pressure
• Enjoys a fast-paced and collaborative working environment.
• Good communication skills to create a positive patient experience and provide patient education

Education:

• A graduate from an accredited school of Nursing is required

License/Certification:

• Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license is required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required - candidate is able to obtain this within one year of start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association is required - candidate is able to obtain this within one year of start date

Experience:

• Prior nursing experience preferred but not required

***Med Surg or hospital experience is required if candidates don’t have ER experience.***
