About Our Client
The role, in Tampa, Florida, involves managing the coordination of design and construction activities, including the selection and oversight of subcontractors. The Construction Project Manager is also responsible for fostering relationships with both new and existing clients, pursuing new business opportunities, and building long-term partnerships.Key Responsibilities for Construction Project Manager:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and local building authorities.
- Promote the collaborative project team environment involving owners, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, direct outreach, and involvement with professional groups.
- Interpret blueprints and estimates material needs and associated costs.
- Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals are obtained, and enforce compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of the project design.
- Assess labor needs and manage the selection of general and specialty contractors for project tasks.
- Review contract documents and negotiate terms with clients and subcontractors.
- Oversee the preparation of cost estimates and manage bidding documentation.
- Supervise and lead a team that includes assistant managers, engineers, superintendents, and field supervisors.
- Monitor construction progress and address any issues impacting timelines or quality.
- Consult with technical teams (architects, engineers, etc.) to ensure design goals are achieved.
- Ensure subcontractors perform work to quality standards and within project timelines.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses to avoid cost overruns.
- Prepare and manage client invoices and subcontract agreements, ensuring timely payments.
- Review and approve submittals for the field.
- Enforce safety standards on-site, adhering to OSHA guidelines at all times.
- Lead the punch list process to ensure project completion.
- Be available for emergency support, including delays caused by weather or unforeseen issues.
Job Description
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift and carry work-related materials up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and reaching overhead.
- Able to stand, squat, kneel, and work on hard surfaces for extended periods.
- Frequent use of tools and equipment.
- Occasional travel for meetings and site visits.
- Work is performed in construction environments, subject to typical hazards like noise, dust, and the risk of falling objects.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions is expected.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Extensive experience in the construction industry.
- In-depth understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering, architectural, and construction drawings.
- Proficient in job costing, scheduling, and estimating software.
- Strong adaptability to changing environments and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
