Maintenance Worker
This is an on-site position working from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour. Maintenance Worker Job Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:-Perform a variety of carpentry tasks in the construction and maintenance of buildings.-Install and repair electrical outlets, circuits, switches, fans, and lighting fixtures.-Install and repair plumbing fixtures, water and drainage lines, and sewage disposal fields and plants.-Paint and decorate interiors and exteriors of buildings.-Make repairs and adjustments to laundry, heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning units.-Operate and utilize a wide variety of tools and equipment such as assorted hand tools, table saws, skill saws, hand drills, drill presses, pipe cutters, pipe threaders, welding torches, cutting torches, and voltage testers; may operate a pickup truck or other vehicle in getting to and from the job.-Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as necessary.-Perform ground duties and/or custodial duties as required by supervisor.-May keep simple records and make routine reports such as time expended, and materials used.-May provide training to other staff as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications Required for Maintenance Worker position: -High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.-Experience equivalent to three (3) years of full-time increasingly skilled labor and trade.-Electrical and/or Plumbing Certification preferred.-Must be 18 years or older-Have a valid driver's license-Must have a stable work history-Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time-Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds-Knowledge of different tools-Time management and multitasking abilities-Good organizational skills-Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills-Ability to work with minimal supervision
