PAYROLL/BENEFITS SPECIALIST ROLE!

Robert Half is partnering with an organization in Cromwell, CT, searching for a PERMANENT Payroll & Benefits Specialist! This position is FULLY onsite (no exceptions) and standard work hours!

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our client's team in Cromwell, CT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for over 400 employees across multiple payrolls accurately and timely.
• Handle payroll reporting and benefits administration.
• Assist in the open enrollment process.
• Make necessary changes and updates in the HRIS system.
• Utilize Kronos and other payroll systems efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant and recent experience in a payroll specialist position.
• Working knowledge of benefits.
• Proficiency in using payroll software.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
