Accountant - Entry Level

We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in OSSIAN, Indiana. The selected individual will play a key role in managing various accounting tasks in a manufacturing and distribution environment. This role is crucial in processing customer-related transactions, maintaining accurate records, and resolving queries with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage and process accounts payable invoices
• Supervise Billing and Accounts Receivable activities
• Accurately apply cash receipts, demonstrating the ability to identify and reconcile payment discrepancies
• Lead all collection efforts, proactively contacting customers to collect past dues
• Identify and report on specific issues that may negatively impact the accounts receivable balance
• Seek areas of opportunity to enhance processes and positively influence business results
• Cross-train on all other daily departmental functions to ensure adequate department coverage
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in cash applications is necessary for this role.
• Experience in billing procedures and management is required.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and guidelines is a must.
• The applicant should have a background in collections, demonstrating an ability to manage and recover outstanding payments.
• Understanding of billing collection procedures is essential for this role.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing and payment tracking, is critical.
• Proficiency in business reporting and ability to interpret financial data is required.
