We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in Manassas, Virginia. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, data entry, and working closely with a team in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate processing and recording of the company's inventory, working closely with the warehouse team to maintain accurate records.
  • Work with shipping and receiving documentation to ensure all packages are securely packed with appropriate shipping documents and labels.
  • Regularly perform physical inventory counts, reconciling any discrepancies with the Production Manager.
  • Facilitate the process of material receipts, verifying that received material matches what was ordered and addressing any issues with the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, for data entry and generating reports.
  • Assist in packaging finished goods as completed by the Production team, making appropriate inventory transactions based on information received.
  • Participate in lifting and moving inventory as required, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Work with a team of 4-5 people, contributing to a cooperative and efficient workplace.
  • Handle customer inquiries, providing swift and accurate responses.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the management. • Position requires a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role as Inventory Clerk or related field.
  • Proficiency in performing clerical duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc. is essential.
  • Familiarity with order fulfillment processes and principles.
  • Demonstrable experience in shipping & receiving, shipping documentation and shipping operations.
  • Ability to ship products efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant inventory software systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced work environment.
