Your Role: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be at the heart of our data operations, working closely with business analysts and users to transform complex business requirements into technical solutions. Your expertise will guide the design and enhancement of our data models, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

Job Highlights
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business analysts and users to prioritize and understand user requirements.
  • Lead technical discussions to shape functional designs and specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and the EDW development team, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Partner with data warehouse architects to design enhancements that meet client demands.
  • Design, code, and test new features for our data warehouse, including updates to columns, tables, views, OLAP cubes, etc.
  • Analyze query performance and optimize queries for development engineers.
Qualifications
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent IT certifications.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving complex business requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a true team player.
  • Self-starter with outstanding analytical abilities.
  • 5+ years in healthcare IT with knowledge of US healthcare protocols (CPT, ICD-9/10, HIPAA).
  • 10+ years of database development experience on both on-premise and cloud platforms (MS SQL Server, Azure Synapse preferred).
  • 5+ years in designing and supporting enterprise data warehouses.
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills for writing stored procedures and optimizing query performance.
  • 3+ years with BI solutions like PowerBI, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Tableau.
  • Experience troubleshooting database issues (duplicate keys, inefficient joins/views).
