My client is a well-known information technology company based in Newton, MA. They are a smaller and dynamic team who goes into the office 1-2 times per month.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing federal, state, and local income/franchise tax return compliance process, including acting as the main point of contact to our outsourced compliance provider (KPMG)
• Collaborate across entire US tax team
• Be involved in developing tax strategy, process improvements
• Oversee three direct reports: Assistant Manager, SALT and 2 Senior Tax Accountants (1 accountant oversees state income and international tax compliance, the 2 accountant is going to be a new hire, and this role will help in hiring)

• 5-7 years of professional experience in tax, specifically state income tax and compliance
• Federal tax experience a plus, but not a requirement
• CPA preferred, not required
• Open to background in public accounting and corporate tax or mix of both
• Experience working with multinational corporations a plus
• Need prior people leadership experience (managing direct or indirect reports/mentoring)
