We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented healthcare compliance professional to maintain and manage the company’s US compliance program. This role ensures that the organization adheres to all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and internal policies.

The Compliance Manager will work closely with various departments and our global colleagues to implement, monitor, and enforce compliance initiatives, reducing risk and ensuring the highest standards of ethical and legal conduct within the company.

This position requires working on site Tuesday and Thursday in our Somerset, NJ location.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Maintain US Compliance Program:

  • Design, implement, and continuously update the company’s US compliance program in line with healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft, revise, and maintain compliance-related policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all policies are up to date with the latest healthcare laws, regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and internal audits to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.

Provide Healthcare Compliance Guidance:

  • Advise internal stakeholders on compliance and regulatory matters on various issues, including but not limited to, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, False Claims Act (FCA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), federal reimbursement guidelines, CMS requirements, professional board regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Provide practical guidance and innovative solutions for compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute and other fraud, waste, and abuse statutes.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in healthcare laws and regulations and communicate their impact on the organization.

Education and Training:

  • Design and deliver training programs for employees on healthcare compliance matters, including HIPAA, fraud and abuse prevention, Anti-Kickback, reimbursement requirements, and patient privacy laws.
  • Serve as a resource for employees on compliance-related inquiries and issues.

Investigating, Documentation, and Reporting:

  • Lead investigations into compliance violations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to compliance activities, including reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of any compliance issues or breaches to appropriate authorities.

Liaison with Regulatory Authorities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and manage all communications regarding compliance matters.
  • Ensure the organization’s timely response to any regulatory inquiries or investigations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the legal, finance, operations, marketing, and business development teams to ensure that business practices align with compliance requirements.
  • Support the organization in navigating regulatory environments and achieving business objectives while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in law, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, FCA, HIPAA, and other relevant statutes.
