SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented AssociateSoftware Engineer to support our programs delivering detection and tracking software in Boulder, CO. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for national defense.You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data and/or radar data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and/or Technical Intelligence.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working in C++, work well as part of a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment and be able to engineer, prototype, develop, integrate, and test advanced software.
Responsibilities- Works on program sub task or feature, may own small projects
- Demonstrates fluency of primary coding language; comfortable with software design
- Regularly communicates with team leads, engages in agile meetings and processes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
The following minimum qualifications are required for the position:
- A Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- At least fours years of academic experience or one year of professional experience and fluency in C++
- At least fours years of academic experience or one year of professional experience using Linux operating systems
- Professional or academic experience with Agile software development
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:
- An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- At least one year professional experience with software prototyping, development, and integration within government frameworks
- Experience with the exploitation and analysis of OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed data
- Professional experience with DevSecOps
- Professional or academic experience with Agile software development
