-771-9756. FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to become a part of our team!

This is a full-time position with typical schedule of Monday- Friday 9am

Position Summary:The Compounding Pharmacy Technician will assist with the preparation and delivery of pharmaceutical products to the clients pursuant to valid prescriptions as applicable.

Uses critical thinking skills and exercises independent decision-making as needed in the provision of safe and rational medication therapy.
Understands and exemplifies excellent customer service.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:-Assist the pharmacist with non-sterile compounding according to the pharmacy policy and procedures manual and strict adherence to USP and future regulations.-Process new and refill prescriptions: both for retail and long-term pharmacy services-Reviewing pending refills with the supervising pharmacist and generate the refill documentation.-Assist with bubble packing of medications for assisted living facilities as applicable.-Communicate as necessary with patients to determine overall coordination of care and patient service needs-Help in the management of the inventory to be dispensed and ordered per pharmacy protocol.-Generate pharmacy reports from pharmacy software as directed by supervisor.-Assist in the prioritization and progress of patient paperwork.-Track control substance prescriptions requiring the prescriber signature, as well ensuring that the control substance log is updated in Pharmacy Software or other pharmacy software daily.-Assist the pharmacist with counting, bottling and labeling of all medications, in accordance with state laws and regulations.-Plus
  • may perform other duties as assigned.

The selected candidate will also possess:-Previous experience in pharmacy required.-Experience compounding Hormone Replacement Therapy Medication preferred.-Knowledge of USP 795 nonsterile compounding rules and regulations.-Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.-Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.-Strong attention to detail.-Strong organizational skills.-Reliable transportation required.-Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.-Pharmacy Technician License that is active and in good standing with CA Board of Pharmacy required.-Preferred Experience in Long term care/ Assisted Living Facilities.

Salary Range: $21-$28/hr
