Job Summary:

We are seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist for a contract position. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and assist in ultrasound examinations, provide technical support to the Radiologist, and maintain ultrasound equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following departmental protocols.
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient and staff safety.
• Set up, operate, clean, and perform minor adjustments to ultrasound machines.
• Maintain adequate supplies for daily operations.
• Assist in training and mentoring new ultrasound personnel.
• Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physician workstations.
• Handle administrative tasks such as answering calls, scheduling exams, and coordinating patient transport.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with administrative and office practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and attention to detail.

Education Requirements:

• Required:
• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology

• High School Diploma/GED plus completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required:
• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
