Reg Ultrasound Technologist, 2-5 yrs Contract - USTECH 25-20532

Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations, provides technical support to the Radiologist, and ensures the maintenance and care of all ultrasound equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares and examines patients for ultrasound procedures following established departmental protocols.
• Operates and adjusts ultrasound equipment, ensuring necessary safety precautions to protect patients and staff.
• Sets up, operates, cleans, and makes minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
• Ensures an adequate supply of materials is available for daily operations.
• Assists in the orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
• Captures and transfers images onto PACS and physicians' workstations.
• Answers phone calls, schedules exams, and coordinates patient transportation as needed.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
• Ability to use personal computers and software effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.

Education & Certifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Work Schedule & Details:

• Hours Per Week: 40
• Hours Per Day: 10
• Days Per Week: 4
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM, with potential Saturday hours (half-days under consideration).
