Account Services Representative
Overview:
Come find your Spark at Quartz! Our Sales team is looking to for a self-motivated, customer- focused Account Services Representative to join the team. The Account Services Representative will support Commercial Account Executives and Account Managers in the servicing of agents, prospective groups, and small and large group clients. This position will utilize the following skills on a regular basis:
- Prioritize the member/ customer in all tasks
- Utilize Group health insurance knowledge to support the sales staff, agents, and groups through the renewal process
- Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Oral and written communicate skills with individuals at all organization levels, internally and externally
Benefits:
- Starting salary based on skills and experience: $46,800 – 58,600 plus robust benefits package
Responsibilities:
- Manage and respond to emails in the commercial service inbox. Take commercial sales line calls.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with agents, employer groups, and members.
- Support Large Group sales staff with documenting service and renewal-related tasks and opportunities within database (Salesforce).
- Assist with renewal process coordination with agents, employer groups, underwriting, enrollment, and other areas affected in the organization:
- Review all renewal documents submitted from the group/agent and check that riders and plans match last year’s renewal.
- Document any changes the group is making, review special instructions.
- Submit documents to Group Records, Underwriting, and the Account Manager.
- Update Salesforce with the new renewal information and monitor progress of the renewal to ensure completion.
- Educate and highlight any benefit enhancements and/or changes to agents and employer groups.
- Promote all electronic services provided, such as electronic Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), online billing, and ACH payment.
- Participate in and coordinate initiatives to reach out to existing groups to update records as needed.
- Assist the Large Group sales staff with any internal and external communication as requested.
- Gathers status input from team members and work with supervisory staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in the health insurance industry
- OR Associate degree with 5 years of experience in the health insurance industry
- OR High School equivalency with 8 years of experience in the health insurance industry
- Proven effective written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organization
- Proven ability to work on a team, taking lead on complex issue while coordinating with other teams
- Proven high level of consistency in meeting deadlines
- Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to make independent judgements and provide innovation solutions
- Ability to work in an environment of product and market change
- Basis understanding of employer wellness needs
- Valid health/life insurance license(s) in the Quartz service areas
