Legal Operations Analyst
Overview:
MWAccel is seeking a Legal Operations Analyst to assist in-house legal teams with operational and strategic initiatives. This position is available in our Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Washington DC, Tysons, Charlotte, Richmond, and Baltimore offices.The ideal candidate should have a successful background in corporate legal departments and expertise in legal operations.
MWAccel has three service lines. The first is legal operations consulting work for our clients. The second involves the client-facing and client-billable data analytics work. The third involves internal work — understanding how we can improve the delivery of legal services and how we run the firm.

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with the creation and operations of preferred law firm panels, expense management, and tracking.
- Collaborate with in-house legal teams to develop and implement strategic plans and key operational enhancements that align with organizational goals.
- Create reporting and analytics systems to capture and track key performance indicators.
- Prepare consulting plans, presentations, and templates for clients.
- Analyze and recommend legal department structure improvements to align with organizational and enterprise strategic goals.
- Suggest change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Set up project management systems to help clients meet their goals.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Optimize vendor spending and assess risk management processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a corporate legal department, with a focus on legal operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or certification in legal operations is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including strong ability to speak with clients, ask probing questions, identify and diagnose issues, and make recommendations.
- Proficiency in legal, communications, and planning technology and software.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience in change management and process improvement.
