Responsibilities- Prepares financial statements while ensuring adherence to GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.
- Assists with grant reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support program goals and initiatives.
- Oversees the monthly close process by coordinating team efforts, preparing accruals, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, managing asset depreciation, and journal entry management.
- Guides department heads through the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring timely updates to align with organizational financial goals and assess operating costs.
- Creates efficient reporting structures using Sage Intacct to deliver timely, accurate updates on cash flow, team member timesheets, and other financial data.
- Ensures organizational compliance with accounting policies and corporate fiscal policies, such as purchasing and travel procedures.
- Prepares external audit materials and collaborates on the external audit process.
- Monitors cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable, troubleshooting errors and resolving discrepancies.
- Manages the 1099 reporting process.
- Supports the strategic and daily operations of the Finance team, collaborating closely with the Controller to achieve results and foster a high-performing, inclusive team.
- GAAP (3 years of experience is preferred)
- Excel (3 years of experience is preferred)
- SAGE (3 years of experience is preferred)
