Email resumes to odrow@defensesearchusa.com and call 858.866.8676 FULL DESCRIPTION: The scope of work is to assist the Director of Human Resources with the planning, development, implementation and administration of some or all of the following: benefits, employee relations, HRlS entry, new hire orientation & onboarding, training scheduling & documentation, recruitment process workers compensation, leaves of absence and safety programs.
The selected candidate will be responsible for: -Administers all Employee benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, HSA, etc.)-Acts as a liaison and advocate between Employees and benefit providers/brokers.-Conducts annual Open Enrollment and provides input to the Director of Human Resources regarding annual plan changes.-Ensures Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.-Administers Leaves of Absence following all areas of compliance and law.-Ensures compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
Administers the company Injury and Illness Prevention Program and all Worker's Compensation claims throughout claim lifecycle ensuring an interactive process between the Employee and the Company.-Must have practical knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Paycom software a plus.-All administrative functions within the department (filing, scanning, etc.)-Serve as the main point of contact for all Employee inquiries.-Administer New Hire Orientation, New Hire Training and On-boarding.-Maintains all active and terminated Employee files.-Assists with Employee relations issues and investigations.-Participates and assists in special projects, events and/or committees as applicable.-Live according to the company's core values.-Perform other duties as assigned.-Adhere to Quality Management System.-Adhere to all policies and procedures including work rules, safety standards and departmental operating procedures.
The selected candidate will also possess: -3-5 years of hands-on Benefit Administration experience.-3-5 years of General Human Resources experience.-Strong attention to detail and organization skills.-Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills.-Knowledge of and experience applying state and federal employment laws and EEO/AA.-Strong problem-solving skills; able to ask open-ended questions, listen intently and facilitate effective conversations.-Demonstrated ability to always conduct oneself in a positive and professional manner.-Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).-Competency in navigating the internet and general comfort with technology.-Ability to speak effectively in front of large groups of Employees.-General recruiting experience.-Experience with performance review administration.-Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team and cross functionally with other departments.-Keeps abreast of current HR best practices and trends and shares information with the department Salary Range: $75k-$80k/yr For immediate and confidential consideration, please email your resume to odrow@defensesearchusa.com and call 858.866.8676More information can be found at www.defensesearchusa.com
