Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President Product Owner to lead the design, delivery and enablement of business capabilities within an internally or externally facing portal product (e.g. ASC). The product owner will be directly accountable for ensuring a consistent design and capabilities framework.They communicate and influence effectively with stakeholders, technical and service focused individuals across the organization to share the importance of operational excellence and drive high engagement through metric driven outcomes. This role reports to the VP, Head of Product Management.
This role will be pivotal in driving our platform's evolution, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with cross functional teams including stakeholders, data analytics and development to determine best solution for capability enablement.
- Responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap and managing the product backlog to ensure it is meeting the objectives and delivering value to the stakeholders.
- Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Prioritize the product's needs and objectives based on stakeholder and development team inputs.
- Business capability's owner, enabler and functional expert for the product and processes surrounding the product.
- Deeply entrenched in the development stages of a product including planning, development, test and deployment.
- Ensure a consistent methodology in design and implementation of a capability though product evaluation and inspection. (i.e. user experience design).
- Anticipate business needs and routinely guide business on designs and/or solutions to ensure insurance product and process can be enabled with both speed to market and ease of implementation.
- Keep up to speed on the current industry and product trends to influence capability enhancements.
- The ability to document business requirements, functional specifications and process workflows when needed.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional Communication (Oral, Written, and Presentation) skills amplified by a “Get it Done” attitude supported through the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
- High degree of organization, individual initiative, personal accountability and comfort in working in a high paced delivery environment and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proactive, self-starter with the balance of technical knowledge and insurance business acumen is required.
- Established background in launching software or services in partnership with development teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles is required.
- Experience building out customer portals is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in product management and/or development or relevant experience.
- Experience launching, building and enhancing products to drive operational efficiency and business value.
- Experience in an agile transformation across an organization is a plus.
Salary Range
$115,000.00-$190,000.00
The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and also be available for travel as required.
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
