Job Overview

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management, optimization, and security of the Net App storage environment in support of mission-critical operations. A secret clearance is required for this role.

• Clearance: Secret clearance required
• Duration: 12-month contract
• Location: Onsite in Augusta, GA

THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A NETAPP RESIDENT CONSULTANT:

• Serve as the primary Net App storage administrator, managing daily operations of the Net App storage infrastructure
• Oversee the design, implementation, and support of Net App ONTAP solutions, ensuring high availability, data protection, and performance optimization
• Conduct system performance tuning, capacity planning, and storage provisioning
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor and troubleshoot storage-related issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate storage solutions with enterprise systems and applications
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and industry best practices to protect sensitive data
• Produce and maintain documentation, including procedures, configurations, and incident reports
• Provide expertise and mentorship to junior team members as needed

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING ABOVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE LIKE:

• Active Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain one)
• Proven experience as a Net App SME, with a focus on ONTAP and core Net App technologies
• Strong understanding of storage architecture, including RAID configurations, storage protocols (i SCSI, NFS, CIFS/SMB), and SAN/NAS environments
• Familiarity with performance tuning, capacity planning, and data protection strategies
• Experience with disaster recovery and backup solutions in Net App environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Net App certifications such as NCDA (Net App Certified Data Administrator) or NCIE (Net App Certified Implementation Engineer)
• Experience in Do D or government environments
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., STIGs)

• Duration: 12-month contract, with potential for extension
• Salary range: $140K to $150K
