Overview:

The Civil Project Engineer will collaborate in-house with licensed civil engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors to assist our clients in developing commercial and residential projects in the public and private sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity for growth within a thriving organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist a Project Manager in the production of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters such as typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, right-of-way requirements and cost
• Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project’s purpose and need
• Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
• Prepare written technical reports and engineering studies using approved company format
• Direct production work of engineering technicians
• Additional related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• 3-6+ years of professional experience in site design
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
• Experience with entitlements and permitting for local jurisdictions
• Effective oral and written communication
• Georgia EI/EIT or ability to achieve by reciprocity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Metro Atlanta jurisdictions, including entitlements and zoning along with permitting processes and procedures
• GSWCC Level 2 Certification or ability to achieve within six months
