Qualifications:
- The person holding this position shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- Proficiency in office procedures and general secretarial skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, computer operation and use of office equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of company operations and procedures.
- The ability to travel on a limited basis for the purpose of visiting vendors and professional service providers.
- The physical requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, the ability to:
- possess the manual dexterity required to operate typical office equipment
- view a computer monitor for extended periods of time
- travel throughout the company’s facilities
- speak in a clear voice
Responsibilities:
The Office Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s office functions, supervising personnel, and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes. This role also involves providing executive-level support, overseeing HR tasks, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of the Company’s day to day office and personnel functions.
- Provides secretarial services to Executive Management.
- Daily bank deposits and post office runs.
- Sets up and administers the Company’s digital communications systems.
- Manage the Company’s use of its EOS software – Infor’s Cloud Suite Industrial.
- Acts as company “librarian” ensuring proper storage of controlled documents.
- Recruit, interview and assist departments in the hiring process.
- Performs new employee onboarding.
- Oversees employee work and vacation schedules.
- Coordinates employee performance evaluations.
- Aids the President in the administration of the company’s 401(k) plan.
- Maintains the company’s line of insurance including:
- Workers’ Compensation, Disability, Medical and Dental, Life Insurance.
- Cash Position Report (shared duty with Accounting Supervisor)
- Supervise Subordinates and perform jobs in their absence.
- Undertakes any other tasks deemed necessary by management.

Among the 12 US patents involved, methods of manufacturing textiles of metal oxides, nitrides and carbides were included.Mr. Hamling’s work won him two 1968 IR 100 Awards from Industrial Research Magazine.
