3. Managing the staff of the billing department, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
4. Ensuring the billing department operates with efficiency and accuracy.
5. Auditing medical records to ensure proper billing and reduce occurrences of insurance payment denials.
6. Working closely with healthcare providers, medical office managers, insurance companies, patients, and other staff to address inquiries and problems.
7. Keeping up-to-date with changes in medical coding and billing trends, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
8. Preparing and presenting reports on billing operations to hospital management.
