System Engineer II III SEIT
Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design and technology.
Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation.
Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with a minimum 2 years of professional experience or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Experience using system modeling tools to solve systems engineering problems (Rhapsody, MagicDraw, or similar tool etc...). Ability to derive, manage, and verify requirements.Experience on an Agile software development team. Ability to decompose high level system architectures and requirement specification into Agile stories and tasks.
Desired: Scaled Agile Framework experience; working as a part of a SCRUM Team.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of Modeling and Simulation (M&S). Working knowledge of MBSE activities and implementation. Utilizing Rhapsody or similar tools to support MBSE. Knowledge in using DOORS for requirements management. Experience with Linux/Unix commands and environment.Experience interacting with the government customer and stakeholders to develop clear definitions of required capabilities. Research and come up with creative solutions to solve existing challenges. Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. An active secret security clearance is required. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL.
