Responsibilities:
We are seeking a forward-thinking Building Performance Analyst to join our innovative Building Sciences team at Page. This role is for someone passionate about sustainability and data-driven design solutions who is ready to shape the future of high-performance buildings.You will play a critical role in advancing our 2030 Challenge commitments while driving technical excellence and fostering firmwide best practices for building performance analysis.
As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver quantifiable insights that enable smarter design decisions, aligning environmental goals with aesthetic and functional success.
Key Responsibilities- Performance Analysis & Modeling:
- Conduct and interpret analyses, including:
- Detailed whole-building energy modeling for ASHRAE 90.1 compliance and LEED
- Early-stage “Simple Box” energy modeling
- Solar radiation and daylighting studies
- Shadow studies, wind analysis, and wall assembly evaluations
- Climate and occupant comfort analysis
- Inform design development through performance-driven results and actionable recommendations.
- Quantify and graphically communicate energy conservation measures and renewable energy feasibility (e.g., geothermal, PV).
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Partner with design teams to integrate technical data-driven insights and guide performance optimization.
- Develop compelling infographics and reports that visualize environmental performance for internal and external stakeholders.
- Train and mentor staff in the effective use of performance tools and workflows.
- BIM Workflows & Tool Development:
- Create standardized modeling practices to support energy code compliance, certification programs (LEED, WELL), and high-performance goals.
- Develop and deploy BIM-based analysis tools (e.g., Revit Insight) across the firm.
- Leadership & Advocacy:
- Serve as a technical expert within the firm, championing performance-driven design practices and sustainability strategies.
- Contribute to industry leadership through external engagement in technical and sustainability forums.
- Additional Opportunities (based on candidate skills):
- Green building certification (LEED, WELL, etc.) and AIA 2030 reporting.
- Post-occupancy evaluations and performance benchmarking.
- Computational design, project renderings, and district-scale modeling.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Sciences, or related field.
- Professional Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in building performance analysis, sustainability consulting, or energy modeling.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- BEMP, PE, LEED AP, or similar credentials preferred.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise with IES Virtual Environment, EnergyPlus/OpenStudion, and ASHRAE 90.1/209 compliance modeling.
- Experience submitting LEED energy models and managing certification pathways.
- Proficiency in Rhino/Grasshopper (with Ladybug/Honeybee/Pollination) and Revit.
- Experience analyzing passive design strategies and renewable energy systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as ClimateStudio, WUFI, Tally, and OneClick LCA.
- Professional Skills:
- Strong communication skills to articulate analysis results to design teams and clients.
- Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver on deadlines.
- Experience presenting complex technical data in clear, concise, and visual formats.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in fast-paced, integrated environments.
- Citizenship:
- Given the nature of project work, must be a US citizen.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Experience modeling new and existing buildings for a variety of building types and scales.
- Knowledge of building energy audits and benchmarking.
- Experience with Title 24 energy modeling requirements (EnergyPro/CBECC-Com).
- Familiarity with CFD analysis and advanced daylighting tools.
- Ability to apply analytical skills to multi-scale projects (buildings, campuses, cities).
- Drive to automate workflows and develop innovative building performance tools.

Base Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000
