SKHOV is currently seeking Per Diem Speech Therapist to provide direct services through the Early Intervention (EI) programs (birth-3). We have a large amount of cases in Brooklyn. We also provide services throughout Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

Services to be provided in school and/or home-based settings.

Our speech department is staffed with professionals that are well versed in alternative and augmentative communication. The purpose of speech-language therapy is to enhance intentional communication via expression of ideas, obtaining desires, sharing information, and interpersonal interaction.

Language is the means by which communication is achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Early Intervention Services to children; ages birth-3
  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness and adjust treatment to achieve maximum benefit
  • Document all activities and assessments in detailed report in a timely manner
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team communication and service plans
  • Identify goals, measure progress, and provide plans for re-evaluation
  • Collaborate with related services in providing individualized programming for each child
  • Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) participation to develop, implement and monitor plan

Requirements:

  • Professional Speech Language Pathologist Degree
  • Current NYS Licensure
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers with development delay
  • Experience with NYC DOH Early Intervention Program; knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
