Closing Coordinator - Green Brick Partners

Position Purpose: The Closing Coordinator must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners.
Act as liaison between sales, construction, lender, title company, and accounting in effort to ensure homes close as scheduled and reported accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and review all house files, contracts and amendments to ensure all data is accurate and documented for closing.
- Verify and confirm Closing Disclosure and all supporting documents sent by title company are complete and accurate
- Interact closely with management, sales agents, lenders, and title company regarding closing information and process
- Coordinate with sales agents and title company to schedule closings
- Update Newstar and other relevant databases daily with close date adjustments
- Manage homeowner information database for warranty contact purposes
- Notify purchaser of critical finance deadlines
- Order 2-10 warranty, termite bond, and land survey documentation for upcoming closings
- Distribute information to utility companies as homes close to activate service in new owner’s name
- Compile and submit all information for homeowner closing and warranty surveys
- Compile accounting support package for home closings
- Process earnest money and option cash deposits

Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Ability:
Communicate critical and pertinent information with management team in order to effectively plan and project for budgetary purposes. Ability to recognize and address potential issues in a timely manner in order to ensure closing is met as scheduled.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Degree preferred
Experience:
- Previous experience as a close coordinator and understanding of residential construction process preferred.
Competencies:
- Strong communication and time management skills are required.
- Attention to detail is imperative as reviewing sales contracts and closing paperwork is critical.
- Ability to work well with sales, construction, and management teams is essential.
