An international law firm with offices in NYC is seeking a full-time Attorney Resource Center Manager to join their team.
This person will be responsible for overseeing and managing all of the attorney resource center support staff (i.e., legal secretaries and legal resource assistants) in the New York office.
Responsibilities:
- Participating in the interview process for all NY ARC staff.
- Coordinating onboarding for new ARC staff.
- Coordinating ongoing NY ARC trainings.
- Gathering feedback and conducting evaluation meetings with ARC staff for 90-day, mid-year, annual and follow-up review/evaluations.
- Approving and managing ARC staff attendance, leave requests/calendars and timecards.
- Conducting counseling meetings with ARC staff, as necessary.
- Meeting with attorneys regarding ARC workloads and any productivity/personnel issues.
- Scheduling, planning and participating in ARC activities; i.e., meetings, lunches, and preparing agendas.
- Recommending ARC staffing changes; coordinating related notifications and reassignments.
- Participating in attorney integration and orientation to describe the ARC support program.
- Preparing the monthly variances and assisting with the department yearly budget.
- 3+ years of related supervisory experience within the legal industry.
- 10+ years of experience supporting attorneys administratively and/or legal industry document production experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior legal secretarial experience desirable.
- Expert level knowledge of MS Office and proficiency with FileSite or a similar document management software
- Ability to mentor and supervise staff.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and client service skills.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, as needed.
