Systems Engineer Linux Server Administration (Orlando, FL)
We are seeking a Systems Engineer for our client, a leading global security and aerospace company. In this role, you will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Analyses are performed at all levels of the total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
This is a 9-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role (4 days 10-hour shifts weekly). This role is onsite supporting our client's Orlando, FL facility.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
This role will start on 1st shift but must have the ability to work 3rd shift as needed. 3rd shift hours are usually 10 PM-8 AM.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering.
- Must have Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Linux Server Administration (RedHat and SLES) experience.
- Windows Server and Desktop OS experience.
- DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Sec+ CE).
- Knowledge and experience with scripting (Ex. Windows(PowerShell)/Linux(shell scripting).
- Prior experience in requirements and verification.
- Ability to work the third shift (10 pm to 8 am).
- Bachelor's Degree.

Compensation: $60/hr. - $65/hr.
