Overview:

Under the direction of the Surveillance Manager, the Surveillance Technician is responsible for the installation, relocation, repair, and maintenance of networked surveillance video equipment. The Surveillance Technician is also responsible for the configuring/programming of surveillance IP based systems to include analog CCTV equipment, analog encoders, IP cameras, video recording servers, NVRs, wired and wireless alarm installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
  • Converses with Surveillance Agents and Satellite operators to ascertain problems with surveillance camera equipment.
  • Performs surveillance system and camera checks. .
  • Use of multi-meter to test voltages and ohms for camera/alarm circuits.
  • Installation and maintenance of Video Management Systems (VMS).
  • Installation of Ethernet, Coax, and other UTP/STP cabling.
  • Configuration of Fluke or similar copper cabling testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of Fiber cabling installation and testing equipment.
  • Maintains system records including, spreadsheets, Malfunction logs and labeling.
  • Daily use of computer based systems. Surveillance VMS, word, excel, CIP reporting software, Outlook. Etc.
  • Installs equipment according to plans following codes and standards to include inside cabling and outside plant cabling. (Horizontal and Backbone)
  • Installation of wireless routers, Access Points and wireless point to point radios for networking devices.
  • Operates and tests surveillance based systems/equipment to ensure repairs of malfunctions.
  • Repairs cables, including terminations, splicing, and occasional digging.
  • Installation and maintenance of off-site cameras systems, configuration of remote access and deployment and maintenance of user access lists.
  • Operates equipment such as aerial lifts and company vehicles. Uses tools including but not limited; ladders, power tools and various hand tools.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with cabling installations.
  • California Class C driver license required - Must be vehicle insurable through Jackson Rancheria’s Agent.
  • Operator’s certifications for aerial lifts and powered industrial lift trucks must be obtained at next available onsite class (A California Driver’s License is required to complete the mandatory department equipment training).
Pay range: $23.00 - $29.90 per hour
  • Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
