We are seeking a Security Manager based in New York, New York, to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating security-related policies and procedures, participating in the information security governance process, and supporting legal and regulatory compliance efforts.

You will also assist in developing and maintaining our cybersecurity risk management program, ensuring organizational compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and updating of security-related policies and procedures
  • Participate actively in the information security governance process
  • Support legal and regulatory compliance efforts as necessary
  • Help in operational planning based on short- and long-term security goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain the cybersecurity risk management program
  • Perform risk assessments on an ongoing basis
  • Work to ensure organizational compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Develop and assist with the implementation of a data protection program
  • Work towards the robust protection and long-term resilience of our systems
  • Use skills such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Data Governance to perform duties effectively • Demonstrated expertise in ISO 27001
  • Proficient in NIST standards and guidelines
  • Extensive knowledge in Data Governance
  • Proven leadership skills in managing a security team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop, implement and maintain security policies and procedures
  • Experience in risk management and incident response
  • Knowledge of current security trends and issues
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
  • Relevant detail oriented certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and teams.
