Overview:
Senior IT Business Analyst Description & Duties:
The Senior IT Business Analyst will facilitate assigned projects by serving as a liaison between end users, FFC business resources and development teams, setting and communicating goals, ensuring clarity and sufficient volume of available work, and driving high quality deliverable results.
Pay Range: USD $108,000.00 - USD $118,000.00 /Yr.
Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain subject matter expert understanding of assigned products and processing platforms, keeping current on industry standards, trends, and best practices through professional networks.
- Collaborate with others, internal and external to FFC, to thoroughly understand the business problem and champion the request with IT/Technology teams, from discovery through delivery.
- Determine how changes to the project will affect the business and systems, both directly within the system being examined as well as upstream and down-stream.
- Thoroughly understand business processes and procedures and how software applications fit into and enhance the ability of the business unit in the performance of their respective function of the Enterprise.
- Mentor and assist with developing more junior IT Business Analysts in growing their skills and capabilities.
- Provide recommendations regarding the evolution of the system to enhance operational efficiencies and maximize technology.
- Respond to inquiries and provide advice to the client regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
- Aid in creating plans and work tickets that facilitate discovery analysis, development and testing, and deployment activities to ensure a high-quality deliverable that meets business objectives.
- Develop and communicate detailed documentation and specifications for design and/or implementation.
- Maintain and ensure proper documentation, coordinate, oversee and/or perform testing of system modifications.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and collaborate with the scrum team to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion with high quality results that satisfy the business/client objective.
- Use deep knowledge of the system and user experience to aid the team in troubleshooting of system issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of process or system changes to prevent recurrence.
- Act as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field; 4 years’ experience as a Business Analyst preferred OR combination of education and experience.
- IIBA or similar certification or proven equivalent experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software and Design software.
