Position Overview: As a Marine Field Service Technician at the company, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and repair of our cutting-edge communication systems on marine vessels ( Tugboats, Container Vessels, Cargo Vessels, Tanker Vessels and Cruise Ships).

You will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' systems are running optimally, providing exceptional service and support to maintain their connectivity and data exchange capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

-Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of marine communication systems, including satellite communication, radio systems, intercom systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Perform regular inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and proactively resolve them to minimize system downtime.
-Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems, both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of communication systems.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to report and escalate technical issues, contributing to ongoing product improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all service activities.

-Document service activities, including reports, work orders, and technical documentation, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Field Service Technician/ Electronics Technician (Preferably within the maritime industry)
Knowledge of marine communication systems, protocols, and equipment, including GMDSS, Inmarsat, VSAT, VHF, UHF, and LTE.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with a systematic and analytical approach.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service, even in high-pressure situations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources.

Flexibility to travel frequently and work in diverse marine environments.
