Hours: 40/week (5 days, 8 hours/day)
Job Summary:The CT Scan Technologist performs computed tomography procedures to produce sectional and 3D images for interpretation and assists with interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex CT procedures and document patient clinical history in PACS.
- Prepare and screen contrast questionnaires, verifying prescriptions with physicians.
- Administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Schedule and obtain outside studies for comparison by radiologists.
- Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and patient preparation guidelines.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning.
- Understanding of CT software/hardware and PACS systems.
- ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire.
- BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required.
Preferred Experience:
- Six months of CT experience and familiarity with Epic or similar systems.
