Job Title: CT Scan Technologist
Location: Perth Amboy, NJ 08861

Hours: 40/week (5 days, 8 hours/day)

Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist performs computed tomography procedures to produce sectional and 3D images for interpretation and assists with interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex CT procedures and document patient clinical history in PACS.
  • Prepare and screen contrast questionnaires, verifying prescriptions with physicians.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Schedule and obtain outside studies for comparison by radiologists.
  • Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and patient preparation guidelines.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning.
  • Understanding of CT software/hardware and PACS systems.
  • ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Six months of CT experience and familiarity with Epic or similar systems.
