My client is a fast growing company within the food manufacturing industry. They package and distribute their products to stores and customers worldwide.

Job Description

Team Leadership:

• Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, including training, performance evaluation, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Develop and implement schedules, work plans, and procedures to optimize maintenance activities.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for all machinery, equipment, and systems used in the seafood manufacturing process.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Facility Management:

• Coordinate and oversee facility maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Inventory and Spare Parts:

• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of required parts while optimizing costs.

Budget Management:

• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve overall equipment effectiveness.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
• Generate regular reports on maintenance metrics, equipment performance, and departmental achievements.

The Successful Applicant

• - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Several years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the food manufacturing
• Strong technical knowledge of seafood processing equipment, production lines, and facility systems.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in food manufacturing.
• Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
