Senior Cost Accountant

Here's what you'd do: -This position has the authority to command-and-control purchase price variances, direct labor productivity variances, production quality variances, and variances as it relates to the consumption and addition of inventory.-This position has the authority to control the revaluation of inventoried items standard costing metrics.-This position has the authority to report on behalf of the company cost analysis to Central Finance counterparts.-Analyze and review inventory transactions and provide ad hoc analytical analysis/forecasts-With heightened attention to detail research and correct standard costing and related variances.-Manage massive datasets (Excel, Power Pivot, and Power BI queries) for tracking 3.5M movements within inventory per month in a wide number of business operations-Provide forensic accounting work within massive databases to address abnormalities-Assessment and preparation of monthly adjustment Journal Entries to record the outcome of monthly controls and analysis-Provide expert analysis for cost-reduction programs-Lead the integration of new activities/processes as it relates to inventories and cost accounting-Implement revisions of scoping and methodologies for standard costing-Establish and review tracking of key performance indicators to Executive management-Support and advise Operational Functions (Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, Programs,..) in the framework of transverse projects, changes management, continuous improvement and training-Provide expertise in matters of Inventories valuations and Industrial Accounting within the Business Unit-Identify and promote axes of improvement for the Company's industrial performance-Promote the adequation and effectiveness of resources, systems, processes, and internal controls in place for meeting Group and Company standards-Provide a relevant analysis (including financial metrics and industrial key performance indicators) and a reliable forecast of the flows in, out, and within inventories.-Support to control on a monthly closing basis the gross and net valuations of Inventories of Purchased Goods, Work in Progress, Semi-finished and Finished Goods-Provide expertise for inventories and cost accounting as it relates to the ERP system, and will require supporting the migration to a new ERP as it relates to this function-Lead in an analysis of outsourced processing, work in progress, semi-finished goods, finished goods, and goods in transit within a number of industrial perspectives-Perform other duties as assigned.
