BI Data Architect III – Client & Customer Data Management

The BI Data Architect III will be responsible for managing and optimizing client and customer data, ensuring alignment with the DAMA governance framework and industry best practices. This role will develop and implement data management strategies, focusing on master data, metadata, and enterprise ontologies to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client & Customer Data Management: Lead efforts in organizing and maintaining customer and client data, including the development of semantic models, data hierarchies, and metric definitions for enterprise-wide analytics.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Implement DAMA-aligned governance frameworks to ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant data management. Conduct audits, enforce policies, and educate teams on best practices.
• Reltio MDM Implementation: Oversee the implementation and optimization of Reltio for master data management (MDM), ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise systems (Financial, CRM, Sales, HR, etc.).
• Data Security & Privacy: Develop and enforce policies for data security, including GDPR, PII protection, and internal compliance frameworks. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to audit data access and implement controls.
• Enterprise Data Architecture: Design and maintain metadata catalogs and ontologies, ensuring accurate data relationships and standardization across business units.
• ETL & Data Pipelines: Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to streamline data flows across systems, enhancing data integrity and accessibility.
• Data Quality & Automation: Lead efforts to build automated data validations and quality controls to improve confidence in reporting and analytics.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, IT, and leadership to identify data needs, improve sourcing strategies, and support enterprise data initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years managing large-scale data governance programs and ensuring data compliance across multiple systems.
• 3+ years experience implementing or managing Reltio MDM or similar Master Data Management platforms.
• Advanced expertise in data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DCAM).
• 5+ years working with enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and BI tools (Domo, Cognos, MicroStrategy).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, metadata management, and semantic modeling tools (e.g., Business Objects, Cognos FM).
• Experience in regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PII data protection).
• Cloud data platform proficiency (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex data concepts to business stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Certifications in Data Science, Analytics, or DAMA governance frameworks.
• Experience working with customer data in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.).
