Human Resources (HR) Manager

We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager in San Fernando Valley, California. The role involves a diverse array of tasks, from recruitment and hiring processes to payroll management, benefits administration, and performance review coordination.

The HR Manager will also have the responsibility of maintaining compliance with local, federal, and international employment laws. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire recruitment and hiring process, from job posting to candidate selection and induction.
  • Coordinate payroll administration, employee benefits, and 401k enrolments.
  • Develop and maintain wage structures and alignments within the organization.
  • Coordinate health and safety initiatives, including managing claims for workers' compensation.
  • Keep up-to-date records of company organizational charts and employee directory.
  • Implement and maintain HR systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with executive management to align HR strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews in conjunction with Supervisors and Management.
  • Develop and maintain effective employee retention strategies.
  • Handle employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations.
  • Stay updated regarding trends, advances, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Resolve any employee-related issues or conflicts and ensure consistency in the application of all HR policies within the company.
  • Organize events aimed at employee appreciation, including holiday celebrations.
  • Adhere strictly to local, federal, and international laws relating to employment, while reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Experience with Ceridian and HCM systems
  • Understanding of Benefit Functions within an organization
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Compliance laws and regulations pertaining to HR
  • Proven track record in managing Employee Relations
  • Experience in overseeing and improving Hiring Processes
