Staff Accountant

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in the Twin Cities. This role entails a range of duties in the financial services industry, including the preparation and review of financial data, reconciliation of accounts, and assisting with daily financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate preparation and review of financial information for the organization and its affiliates
• Oversee the appropriate recording of revenue and expense recognition
• Assist with the audit and compliance processes, implementing suitable accounting methodologies
• Maintain the accuracy of financial data and assist in regulatory and tax compliance activities
• Contribute to day-to-day decision-making processes by providing timely information to management
• Process and review account reconciliations
• Assist in budgeting activities
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM for various accounting tasks
• Adhere to US GAAP accounting principles
• Prepare and post journal entries and manage the month-end close process.
• Position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, and Journal Entries is essential
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary for this role
• Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Dynamics CRM is required
• Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles is mandatory
• Familiarity with US GAAP is a significant part of this role
• The role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines is crucial
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this role
• The ability to handle confidential information with discretion is a requirement for this role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
