Strategic Marketing Manager - Permanent - Wilmington, Delaware
Proclinical is seeking a Strategic Marketing Manager to join a Medical Devices company. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing strategic growth plans across the global organization, focusing on the Advanced Materials and Chemicals (AMC) end-market segment.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including Research, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales, to drive new product development and commercialization activities.
Skills & Requirements:
- Degree in Technology or Business field; advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science preferred.
- Experience in the Advanced Materials & Chemicals environment.
- Familiarity with thermal analysis, rheology, or related analytical equipment is desirable.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to influence at the executive level and within peer groups.
- Effective interpersonal, collaboration, and networking skills.
- Advocate for change management.
The Strategic Marketing Manager's responsibilities will be:
- Formulate strategic growth plans based on market knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Lead Voice-of-Customer (VOC) interviews and synthesize actionable insights for research, product roadmap, and marketing campaigns.
- Perform macro market assessments, quantify market size, and estimate growth rates.
- Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to establish and maintain scientific thought leadership.
- Identify potential commercial relationships and business development opportunities.
- Prioritize and articulate customer needs for research and development projects.
- Assess market opportunities for new projects based on trends, VOC, and competitive landscape.
- Develop marketing campaign strategies in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Collaborate with Global and Regional Applications teams to develop/update marketing collateral.
- Support Product Management and Marketing teams in the commercialization of new products.
- Assist Sales teams in business planning and key account customer engagement.
