Primary Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Deployment: Configure and deploy GCP Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments and cloud instances, ensuring alignment with designs provided by Cloud Architects and team requirements. Security & Compliance: Collaborate with the NetSecOps team to establish and enforce security controls, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and CISO requirements in an automated manner.
Cloud Solutions Optimization: Evaluate and recommend new GCP features and services for potential adoption, optimizing the use of the cloud platform to meet project and organizational objectives. Access Management: Oversee user, organization, and group management within GCP, ensuring proper permissions and access are configured in line with IAM requirements.
Monitoring & Reporting: Develop monitoring, logging, and reporting capabilities to support cloud management and provide insights for effective decision-making. Documentation & Standards: Define, document, and publish standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the use of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS within GCP, ensuring consistent and efficient adoption across the organization.
Advocacy & Training: Advocate for the cloud platform's capabilities and support internal teams in its adoption, providing guidance and training as needed. Escalation & Troubleshooting: Act as a Tier-2 escalation point for on-call and break-fix incidents.
Provide troubleshooting and resolution for production issues outside of standard working hours as part of an on-call rotation. Collaboration with CloudOps Team: Drive continuous improvement in cloud operations, ensuring the cloud infrastructure is maintained and improved in a scalable and automated way.
Vendor Management: Handle day-to-day interactions with cloud vendors to meet project and organizational objectives. Required Qualifications: Experience: At least five (5) years of hands-on experience in infrastructure development with a focus on GCP, including core services such as compute, networking, storage, content delivery, security, deployment, and automation technologies.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Minimum five (5) years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or similar automation technologies. Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions, including Windows and Linux IaaS, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, security, storage, networking, OSS, containers, and automation technologies.
Large-Scale Deployments: Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise-wide environments. CI/CD Automation: Experience with automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Scripting Skills: Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
Certifications: Google Cloud Foundational Certification or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Professional Cloud Architect Certification (or similar Terraform Expertise: Advanced experience with Terraform for GCP infrastructure management.
Azure DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD automation and cloud infrastructure management. Additional Requirements: Must be available to participate in a weekly after-hours on-call rotation for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
