Warehouse Dispatcher/Router

Our client is seeking a self-motivated and dynamic Warehouse Dispatcher who thrives under time constraints and can adapt quickly to changing needs. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for managing daily routes, maintaining communication with drivers, and supporting warehouse operations. Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar dispatching or logistics role.
• Knowledge of AS400 and RoadNet routing systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work at night and meet tight deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Email Management: Check and respond to email requests daily regarding routes and logistics.
• Routing: Route 25-32 daily routes using routing systems such as AS400 and RoadNet, ensuring optimal efficiency.
• Report Generation: Print and distribute necessary reports for the warehouse team.
• Invoice Management: Edit invoices, check for any discrepancies or shortages, and ensure accurate billing.
• Clerical Support: Assist the night warehouse team with clerical tasks, as needed.
• Customer Management: Input new customer data, including Geo-coding and route assignments, and maintain up-to-date customer files in RoadNet.
• Scheduling: Coordinate with drivers to ensure trucks arrive at customer locations at the requested time, maximizing customer satisfaction.
• Communication: Serve as a liaison between delivery drivers, warehouse management, and the Director of Transportation, ensuring smooth communication and operations.
• Process Improvement: Review daily routing and suggest adjustments to maximize efficiency and improve asset utilization.
• Warehouse Support: Assist with warehouse loading functions as required.
• Problem Solving: Address routing and logistical issues proactively to ensure timely deliveries and optimize resources.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, files, and sensitive data with attention to confidentiality.
