Electrical Engineer / Industrial - Integrity Technical Services
Salary Range: $60K - $90K Permanent Position with Benefits.
A growing A&E consulting firm in Akron is seeking an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for gathering and analyzing technical data used to prepare basic electrical engineering designs for client projects.
REQUIREMENTSBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
Co-op experience preferred.
Experience/Knowledge with the following service areas: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Utility, Energy & Manufacturing.
Must be knowledgeable in protective relaying and short circuit studies (EasyPower or similar modeling software).Experience/Knowledge with the following: Power, Lighting & Electrical Distribution, Electrical One-Line Drawings, Electrical Load Studies, Protective Relaying, Arc Flash Studies, Power Equipment List, (Transformers, Switchgear, Motors, UPS etc.), Area Classification, and other Electrical Drawings (Schematics, Heat Trace, etc.)
Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) experienced
Must have strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Occasionally travel as required.
Key Responsibilities: Performing engineering calculations and plan development.
Collecting and preparing data/information and performing detailed engineering calculations.Specify power system equipment, switchgear, unit substations, motor control centers, drive systems, grounding systems, and lighting systems.
Create electrical load studies, control schematics, and electrical engineering details.
Assists in field work by developing scope of work, making staff recommendations, and checking drawingsUtilize computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
