Maintenance Technician II - Randstad
The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and safety in the production process. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production machinery.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns or malfunctioning equipment, minimizing downtime.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify the root cause of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Work with other departments to optimize production processes and resolve any equipment-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Provide support during inventory management of maintenance parts and supplies.
- Assist with training less experienced technicians or maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or vocational training preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
- knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and troubleshooting.
- Forklift operation certification (preferred but not required)
