Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Responsibilities:Position reports to Manager, Patient Accounts-Third Party. Responsibilities include recommendations on employee activities including hiring, monitoring productivity, training, and disciplinary action decisions. Review websites, seminars, and/or online training to stay current with all regulatory and insurance requirements for Third-Party Payers.
Ensure timely, compliant submission of all claims, review denials, and ensure claims follow up meets department requirements. Implement new procedures as needed. Maintain updated training manuals and tip sheets in shared drive. Review audit requests from payers. Meet with payer representatives on a regular basis.
Work with IT and ancillary departments to improve revenue cycle performance, compile reports and provide data as needed to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent education and experience required.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in information systems within a financial environment required.
- Experience in a healthcare financial environment including knowledge medical terminology preferred experience using Excel and Word required.
- Third Party Billing experience with knowledge of EMR and familiarity with CPT/HCPCs/ICD9/APCs, modifiers.
- Familiarity with CMS compliance regulations, CCI edits, NCDs preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay Range: USD $53,497.60 - USD $89,393.20 /Yr.
