Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you are responsible for providing project support and updates to employees, leadership, and the customer. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.
In addition, you will:
- Manage all aspects of engineering production including forecasting, scheduling, resources management, and quality assurance.
- Develop, maintain, and provide extensive job progress reporting through continued monitoring of job status
- Update local leadership with new projects, schedule issues, and client concerns
- Manage client needs and concerns through on/offsite meetings
- Work in tandem with various managers across the project to define and perform processes and procedures designed to maintain project budgets, schedules, resource plans, and status reporting.
- Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprise senior management team of risks, issues, and recommended mitigations.
- Work in tandem with various managers across the project to identify scope creep, manage to change orders, and complete routine billing.
- Coordinate with the engineering team, and client to manage workload and maintain effective working relationships.
- Assist with as-built package completion and delivery as well as billing closeout.
Qualifications:
About You:
- Must have a solid knowledge of FTTH aerial and underground telecommunications outside and inside plant with competency in telecom technologies, networks, and business processes.
- OSP Fiber engineering experience (FTTH)
- You have extensive experience tracking and monitoring construction projects
- You have a Knowledge of local permitting & jurisdiction Requirements
- Experience working all aspects of telecom with knowledge of NESC, NEC,UBC and OSHA standards.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with proven problem solving ability, self-motivation, leadership, and team building capabilities with the ability to negotiate and motivate others.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management.
- Experience in implementing quality assurance practices such as SOPs to ensure that quality is maintained and a consistent product is delivered.
- Knowledge of engineering tools including AutoCAD, OCalc, Tremble, IQGeo, Auto Design ,or any similar GIS/KMZ platforms.
- Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Google Sheets and Google Drive.
- Project Management Certification is desired, but not required
Qualifications:
- Qualify on pre-employment screening
- Must pass a drug test
- Obtain satisfactory results from a background/employment history investigation and drug screening
