Senior Construction Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate pre-construction meetings and review project plans and specifications.
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications, including water, sewer, GSI, potable and sanitary plant facilities.
• Inspect workmanship and materials involved in various construction projects, such as pipelines, chambers, pumps, buildings, landscaping, and storage reservoirs.
• Document daily site activities, including weather conditions, materials used, and work progress.
• Monitor construction schedules and identify deviations, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Evaluate proposed change orders and maintain accurate project cost records.
• Prepare final inspection reports and oversee project close-out activities.
• Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred, but not required.
• 1-2 years of construction experience, preferably in water mains, sewers, pump stations, or treatment plants.
• Prior experience ensuring conformance with plans, specifications, department regulations, applicable laws, and building codes.
• Familiarity with Capital Contracts and ability to provide construction inspection services from preconstruction meetings through contract closeout.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable form of transportation for traveling to work sites.

Salary Range: $72,800-$83,200

Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
