Overview:
The Associate Director, Data Enablement, Global Commercial Reporting is the lead for ensuring that the Commercial organization has robust dashboards and automated reports that will support daily operational oversight, insight generation and inform key decision making.
This role will partner with Enterprise Data Warehouse delivery team to ensure key data processes are operating efficiently, monitor data quality and lead reporting improvement initiatives. This person will play a pivotal role in the development of a best-in-class Commercial reporting platform.

The Associate Director will work closely with Commercial Effectiveness, IT, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and Patient Services colleagues. The individual must be comfortable in operating in a fast-paced environment. The position will report to the Senior Director, Data Enablement – Commercial and Corporate Reporting and is based in our Bridgewater, NJ headquarters location.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner across Commercial Business to drive development and updating of dashboards and reports by communicating business needs, providing input on report visualization and coordinating UAT
  • Work closely with Data Governance lead to ensure that business rules for metrics and key definitions are accurately implemented within reporting tools
  • Review new dashboard and reporting tools with Legal and Compliance for approval
  • Coordinate roll out and training with Commercial team
  • Ensure timely delivery of new dashboards and reports through effective project management.
  • Keep abreast of new reporting advancements and bring forth recommendations to Commercial Effectiveness and IT
  • Build close relationships across Commercial team members to understand business drivers and key metrics within analyses; determine how to best support the teams’ needs
  • Identify areas of opportunity to enable analytics team to efficiently pull and organize large data sets for ad hoc analyses
  • Monitor daily dashboard performance, identify issues, work with IT to resolve and communicate issues/resolution to key business partners within the Commercial team.
  • Investigate data anomalies in source tables to fully assess issues and provide context to facilitate their root cause analysis and speed resolution
  • Serve as the IT lead in MDM processes including HCP, Account, Payer, and Product master.
  • Ensure business rules for MDM processes are applied accurately in downstream systems and lead issue remediation
  • Collaborate with Field Operations to facilitate data-based processes such as HCP targeting and tiering, alignment, and incentive compensation
  • Ensure Data Governance driven processes such as PDRP excluded HCPs and excluded specialties are implemented in dashboards are reporting tools
  • Bring forward questions/issues/concerns at Data Warehouse meetings to ensure data accuracy in downstream systems
  • Monitor inquiries from the Commercial organization regarding dashboards and diagnose the question as user training need or dashboard issue resolution. Take appropriate steps to resolve the issue.
  • Facilitate large ad hoc data pulls for one-time analytics projects when needed
  • Provide recommendations that address potential problem areas in the Commercial dashboards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech in business intelligence tool development, business analytics, and/or Commercial IT supporting role required
  • Pharma/Biotech industry experienced required, preferably with a Commercial focus.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical launches and commercialization of pharmaceutical products; orphan/specialty drug launch experience preferred
  • High proficiency in BI tools such as Qlik required
  • Experience in Master Data Management processes and procedures required; Veeva experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of analytical needs required; business analytics experience preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical data (e.g., third-party claims data, HUB data, HIPAA requirements, specialty pharmacy, payer, longitudinal patient-level data) required
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience with SQL or other similar relational database query language required
  • Data Strategy and Governance understanding preferred
  • Project management skills preferred
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as required

Salary Range: $139,000 - $195,200 a year
